Times are tough for everyone. Even for those who were thought to be safe… the famous director Claude Lelouch has decided to put his Norman mansion up for sale at the end of 2022 in order to be able to continue filming! The price ? 7.5 million euros for some 500 m2 of living space set in 4 hectares of land located in Tourgéville, in Calvados. According to the columns of the “Parisien” published this Saturday, January 7: “It is an absolutely exceptional property by its shape, its volumes and its materials. It offers an incredible living environment with 4 hectares of land, including a private golf course”. A unique and… circular mansion that has been seen many times in the filmmaker’s films since its construction in 2010. As in the third opus of “A man and a woman” shot in 2019 and entitled “The most beautiful years of a life”.

A purchase like “a second life”
It is because the octogenarian director still and more than ever wants to continue to immortalize human adventures on film that he intends to part with this unique property. And turn elsewhere! According to our colleagues from “Figaro”, in their edition of last December 9, “the mansion, which the man in his fifties has also rented for weekends and private events (parties, receptions… ), could quickly change hands. “We have received quite interesting offers”, says the real estate agent. The profile of buyers? “Most of them are Parisian retirees who have a connection with Normandy since they own at least one property there and plan to make it a family home to give it a second life”. And to conclude: “It is a bet on the future.” A real bet indeed for the director who surely wishes to be autonomous all along the line in his next creations.
