Classic John Deere | Sepp Straka wins by two shots with a 62

(Silvis) Author of a 62, Sepp Straka won the John Deere Classic by two shots ahead of Brendon Todd and Alex Smalley on Sunday.

Straka brought home the best card of his career.

He got an eagle and nine birdies, including four in a row on the back nine. He was thus able to overcome a double bogey at 18e hole.

Straka totaled 263, or 21 under par. The 30-year-old Austrian scored a second PGA victory, after the Honda Classic last year.

Even with just one bogey, Todd shot 68, his worst score of the week. Smalley delivered a 67, thanks in part to five birdies.

Ludvig Aberg (63) and Adam Schenk (68) finished deadlocked in fourth, three shots behind Straka.

Aberg got an eagle and six birdies.

Canadian Adam Svensson finished 21e at 271, following a 69. He bogeyed twice in a row on the front nine.
