In cinema, music, sport or even politics, it is not uncommon for several members of the same family to work in similar fields. Clara Luciani is the new illustration. The singer is close to a dancer cousin, who for a long time ignited the boards of a famous Parisian cabaret…
Her name is Delphine Truchet, but is better known as Zula Zazou. The young woman works as a choreographer, femininity coach, dancer, actress and even singer, like her cousin Clara Luciani. In particular, she was part of the Crazy Horse troupe, located in the 8th arrondissement, and danced there for almost 15 years. Delphine had thus fulfilled a childhood dream.
“When my mother died when I was 8, I felt I needed to express myself by doing something artistic. I grew up in Africa [au Burkina Faso, NDLR], but my sister was a dancer in the corps de ballet at the Opéra de Marseille. I remember that when I was little, I watched the end-of-year reports on the Crazy Horse, it made me dreamexplained Delphine to the site Multiple. I really started dancing at 15, before it was more African dance. But 15 is very late to start dancing, so I did intensely for 3 years, and I progressed very quickly. Then I went to Paris to do theatre.“
She continued: “I came across an audition for a December 31 cabaret revue in Dakar. Exactly, my sister was living in Dakar at the time, so I went there, I was taken, I did the show, and the choreographer called me back to hire me. I really liked this little cabaret, but my other sister, who was watching the famous end-of-year reports on Crazy Horse Paris with me, convinced me to audition. Me, I was pushing back because I was too afraid of not being taken… In fact, I was hired right away!“
