The city of Lille announces this Thursday that it is filing a complaint against X for suspicion of intentional poisoning after the death of four dogs walked in the city’s Citadel park on Wednesday, reports France Bleu Nord. “Several dogs that their owners walked on Wednesday, June 28, at the Parc de la Citadelle, in the area below the Ory footbridge, showed symptoms of intoxication. The death of four dogs is to be deplored“, writes the municipality Thursday, June 29 in a press release.
“The first testimonies reported could suggest the hypothesis of voluntary poisoning, the City wanted to file a complaint against X so that an investigation could be opened to shed full light on the circumstances of these poisonings.“.

“The City once again calls on walkers to be extremely vigilant in this sector.“, she continues, indicating that “the presence of municipal agents is reinforced, in particular to raise awareness of the need to keep dogs on a leash while ensuring that the area no longer poses a risk“.
By early May, at least six dogs had also been poisoned in the same location, and a small dachshund had died.
