It is Sunday that the 3are Games of the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council), a major sporting event that brings together athletes from six Persian Gulf countries. The opening ceremony was signed by the Quebec company Cirque Éloize.

The 32-minute ceremony, which brought together 22 international artists in addition to several local artists, was presented in front of 5,000 spectators on site in addition to being televised throughout the Middle East. Some 70 people, including 40 Quebecers, worked on the presentation of this show.
The GCC Games host athletes from Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
