Cirque du Soleil donates 1 million to the National Circus School

Cirque du Soleil presented the largest donation ever received by the National Circus School (ÉNC), namely 1 million. This historic donation kicks off their fundraising campaign.


It was during a benefit evening at La Tohu that Stéphane Lefebvre, President and CEO of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, unveiled this million-dollar donation to the National Circus School. “We are very proud to support the training and development of new emerging circus artists from Quebec and around the world,” said Mr. Lefebvre. We are convinced that this contribution will serve as a lever for the recruitment of new students, research and innovation in the field of circus arts. »

The ÉNC specified that the funds raised will be used, among other things, to set up a brand new circus arts initiation program in schools, “aimed at democratizing the practice and ensuring greater succession. The major fundraising campaign aims to raise six million dollars in five years.
