It is one of the most awaited American films: Barbie. The film on the iconic doll, accompanied by Ken, will be released this Wednesday, July 19 in theaters. They are embodied in a committed and feminist feature film.
A candy pink fever has invaded London (United Kingdom) this week for the Barbie movie premiere. Dress code respected by fans, and cast glamor on the pink carpet. Margot Robbie brings the mythical doll to life. We find it at barbielandwhere all the accessories of a plastic world are present. “There is a lot of dance and humor”says Ryan Gosling. It’s a watered-down universe, but Barbie will experience some malfunctions.
“Symbol of Change”
The doll will then have to confront the real world, not so rosy. The stereotype of the perfect woman that she represents no longer really fits with the evolutions of our society. Barbie is modernizing. “It is the symbol of change through time”says Greta Gerwigdirector of the film. 64 years ago, the little doll allowed many little girls to imagine their life as women. Barbie was able to change profession, morphology and skin color, without having needed her Ken.
