This Monday evening, at the Sélect cinema, the opening of the 9th Saint-Jean-de-Luz International Film Festival took place, followed by the preview of the film (out of competition) “A romantic comedy”, in the presence of its director Thibault Segouin and actor Alex Lutz.
The traditional master of ceremonies, Eric Soreau, welcomed the artistic director of the festival Patrick Fabre. Festival-goers were able to discover excerpts from the 10 films in competition and the 10 feature films screened this week out of competition. The jury chaired by actress Géraldine Pailhas with Charlène Favier (director, screenwriter and producer), Stéphane Foenkinos (director, director, screenwriter), Jean-Paul Gaultier (fashion designer and costume designer)) and Valéry Karsenti (actress), introduced himself to the public. Finally, it was the mayor of the city of Luz, Jean-Christophe Irigoyen, who closed the ceremony by declaring this new edition open.
