The latest film by actor Gaspard Ulliel, who died in a skiing accident last January, will be released in theaters on Wednesday November 16. The director deals with the subject of the end of life of a young woman, Vicky Krieps, but above all signs an ode to life.

“More than ever” is the story of a magnificent love, stronger than anything. But when there is no longer any way out of the disease, Hélène (Vicky Krieps) decides to leave everything behind to take a last trip to Norway. His companion, Matthieu (Gaspard Ulliel), refuses to let go of the person he loves the most in the world. The film questions the delicate subject of the end of life, with great modesty. “How is it that the sick and the dying are very rarely asked: What do you want ? Do you want me to be here with you?”, underlines the director of the film Emily Atef.

No pathos in this drama which speaks of an unbearable separation, but above all of unconditional love. It is also the last film in which the actor Gaspard played Ulliel before suddenly dying in a skiing accident on January 19. “He was able to not just be an actor. He had the intelligence of a writer, the gaze of a director, the generosity of a mother, the heart of a poet.remembers the actress Vicky Krieps. Presented at the last Cannes festival, the film had upset the public. How not to be in front of this work crossed by death, which nevertheless remains a magnificent ode to life?
