Avatar: The way of water. The second installment of the sci-fi film directed by James Cameron will be released in theaters on December 14. In the meantime, a first trailer was unveiled on Monday.
Thirteen years after the original feature film, which had attracted nearly 15 million French people to the cinema, Avatar fans will therefore be able to find the planet Pandora and the Na’vi, its fascinating inhabitants who live in harmony with nature.
The plot takes place more than a decade after the events of the first part. We will find Jake Sully and Neytiri, played by actors Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana, who have become parents. “Avatar: The Way of the Water tells the story of the Sully family members, the trials they face, the paths they must take to protect each other, the battles they must fight to stay alive and the tragedies they endure” unveils the synopsis of 20th Century Fox.
The highest-grossing film in history
A time ahead of Marvel Avengers: Endgamethe last part of the Avengers trilogy, which in 2019 had accumulated more than 2.790 billion dollars worldwide, Avatar again became in 2021 the film that made the most money in the history of cinema, after going out to China last winter.
Three more Avatar installments are already planned, with releases in December 2024, December 2026, and December 2028.
