The toddler inherited a very symbolic first name chosen at the last moment: Victoire. But while Cindy Poumeyrol was finally making her mark at home with her entire family, a major setback occurred.
This Tuesday, February 8, 2022, the former finalist of Koh Lanta (2019) announced that the Covid-19 had invited itself into his home and touched everyone, even her very young baby. “Watch out for your babies! Victoire caught the Covid (fever, taken nose…). It’s better, it’s behind us but we were very scared! Ditto for Alba except that she is full gas (the days are very long at home)“, she wrote in story Instagram.`
The pretty blonde then gave some details: “Just two words about the Covid, I am not vaccinated because there was the vaccination campaign when I was pregnant and I did not want to be vaccinated while pregnant so I told myself that I would wait to give birth. I caught the Covid in mid-October so in my last trimester of pregnancy and told myself, at least I’m immune. And there, three and a half months later, rebelote and big surprise, Victoire caught it too“.
It was a big freak
Faced with the symptoms that were declared in the newborn, Cindy Poumeyrol and her husband Thomas naturally panicked. “She was only sleeping, I had to wake her upshe was all soft, I really wasn’t calm and during the night, she had a fever, so I went to the emergency room. They tested her on the nose, urinary exam, blood… It was a big freak, especially when it’s all baby like that, it’s never pleasant to make them pass exams, in addition she had mottled skin so that could be a bad sign“, she related. But fortunately, more fear than harm since Victoire seems to be recovering slowly but surely from the virus. “They did several additional examinations, but a priori it is only the Covid, and there she is almost curedshe still has her nose taken but that’s fine.“
Cindy Poumeyrol concluded her speech by raising awareness in her community about the dangers of the epidemic: “Be careful, it really affects everyone, children, babies… And even if you had it not long ago, you can get it again. So be careful, protect yourself.”
