After beating Rafael Nadal and Félix Auger-Aliassime (in particular), the Croatian and 152e in the world defeated ninth-seeded Cameron Norrie on Saturday. The final score was 6-3 and 6-4.
Coric erased a 3-1 deficit in the first set, extending the push to a 4-2 cushion in the second set.
The Croatian has allowed just three points in his last four serving games.
Coric had 22 game winners and seven aces.
He will play an ultimate match of a Masters 1000 for the second time in his career.
A victory on Sunday would open the doors of the top 30.
Recovered from shoulder surgery, Coric will then face favorite Daniil Medvedev or Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the fourth seed.
