An expected decision. The leaders of the Conference of Religious of France (Corref, Catholic congregations) voted “unanimously” the creation of a “Independent Commission for Reconnaissance and Reparation” for victims of child crime, its president, Véronique Margron, told AFP on Friday, November 19.
This body will have for primary mission to recognize the word of the victim and, according to his wish, to “mediate” between the victim and the congregation concerned, as regards a possible compensation, added Sister Margron, at the end of a general assembly of the Corref which was held during four days in Lourdes.
