Rant: the lying images
In our times of fake news, an image can mean anything or its opposite. The snapshot of Tom Hanks at the Palace after the climb of the steps of the film Asteroid City by Wes Anderson had been setting the Croisette on fire for two days. Alongside his wife, speaking to an employee, he seemed threatening in the photo, hence the outraged comments on the Web. But the American actor who had asked this man in which direction to go, had misheard his answer in the middle of the ambient hubbub and was just trying to get it repeated. He was crucified on social media for nothing.
