If Christophe Willem is known for his talent in song, and is particularly talked about for the release of his new album Panorama, the artist is also talking about his sexual orientation. If he accepts that this subject is treated, he does not however appreciate when we go too far on this point. Proof of this is with his violent rant against Eric Dussart on RTL. guest in We redo the TVthe interpreter of Double I evoked an anecdote that he would like to forget in front of the journalist.
“It’s sad, I don’t see the connection“he laments in front of the journalist before relaying the remarks that his interviewer would have made a few years ago: “Christophe Willem is a bit like Freddy Mercury: we can’t wait for you to turn 28 so that you tell us that you sleep with guys. We all know it, only you don’t know”. If it was initially a sketch, Christophe Willem found the jokes only moderately funny and did not hesitate to let him know.
The joke too many, which almost turned sour
“Guy, I smashed it“he recalls before continuing: “People feel like because you’re famous, you have to get this sh*t spill. But, at some point, you have to say stop. In real life, the guy talks to me like that, I give him a straight line”.
Christophe Willem acknowledges this: “Yes, I have a part of femininity that I fully assume”. However, he explains that, “at some point, we are in a position to have to be respected by those for whom the perception of sexuality is a real problem“. It remains to be seen if his rant will be able to set the record straight for some and if his private life will be able to be set aside in the future.
