Christophe Hondelatte gives his clear opinion on Pierre Palmade for whom he does not have “a lot of empathy”!

The man in the leather jacket and the recognizable voice among a thousand is back on the small screen. With “Hondelatte Raconte”, his program broadcast on Europe 1 which he adapted for Canal +, Christophe Hondelatte has been on the air since May 13, 2023. A comeback which pleases both the journalist and the viewers who are there. The proof, a season 2 of the show has already been signed for the start of the school year. The opportunity for the former presenter of “Bring in the accused” to grant an interview to our colleagues from TV Magazine this Thursday, June 1, 2023.

Thus, the 60-year-old man transparently explained the reason why he had not appeared on television since the 2015-2016 season: “Since I stopped “Bring in the Accused”, I have been offered a lot of jobs as uninteresting dummy presenters. I have always refused. I was not obsessed with coming back to the screen. On the other hand, with a real project like that of Canal +, yes”, he declared, faithful to the frankness that characterizes him.

His sincere opinion on Pierre Palmade

The one who let it be known that he was still watching “Let the Accuser in” (RMC Story) with a critical journalistic eye subsequently responded with the same honesty regarding the Palmade affair. Indeed, after having indicated that he found the media treatment around this affair “distressing”, Christophe Hondelatte justified his remarks in this way: “Some of the news channels, in particular BFMTV, made their honey of it for almost a fortnight, knowing nothing, drawing plans on the comet, interviewing people whose testimonies were questionable, in particular his former lovers”.

Regarding his personal opinion on the comedian, the journalist added: “I’m not friends with Palmade and don’t have much empathy for him. Having met him several times, he’s not a very pleasant guy to interview, because he’s always on the defensive. Of course, he committed a crime and will be punished for it. But from there dragging him through the mud…”. And to conclude by suggesting that “journalism go at the speed of justice”. That is what is said.
