Christophe Dechavanne publishes an unusual photo!

It was this Monday March 27, 2023 that the Charles III was to start his royal visit to France… But in a tense social context marked by opposition to pension reform and the application of 49-3, this trip could not no worse off… Thus, this Friday March 24, 2023, at the end of the morning, the Élysée announced that the stay of the monarch had finally been postponed.

“Given the announcement (Thursday) of a new national day of action against pension reform on Tuesday March 28 in France, the visit of King Charles III, initially scheduled for March 26 to 29 in our country, will be postponed”, announced the Élysée Palace, which specifies that this cancellation was taken jointly by the French and British governments following a telephone exchange between Emmanuel Macron and Charles III this Friday morning. Indeed, in its press release, the Élysée specifies that it wants to “welcome His Majesty King Charles III under conditions which correspond to our relationship of friendship” and therefore prefer this postponement.

Christophe Dechavanne dares a joke

A postponement of the visit of King Charles III that Christophe Dechavanne commented via his Twitter account this Monday, March 27, 2023… And as usual, it is with humor that the host reacted to the news. Indeed, the one that we find every Saturday on France 2 alongside Léa Salamé in “Quelle époque! shared a photomontage of the monarch and his wife Camilla busy with trash collection in Paris. A snapshot that he captioned as follows “Finally, the arrival of King Charles III is maintained. It’s just the activities planned outside the top of the state that change a bit”can we read.

As a reminder, on the occasion of the King’s visit, a State dinner was planned at the Palace of Versailles. An event which was to bring together more than 200 guests and which many considered inappropriate due to the current situation in France.
