Installed on television for decades, Christophe Dechavanne has become increasingly rare, although he presented a few issues of the game last June Take it or leave it, on C8. The 63-year-old host and producer confided in our colleagues from Tele-Leisure and expressed, once again, his desire to return to the small screen. “I want to do TV again, it’s not a mystery”, he blurted out before talking about some ideas. “I would love, for example, to present a program with artists and comedians, as Michel Drucker does. I really admire artists and I think we need to laugh at the moment. Or a program of mix of entertainment and current affairs. On the other hand, I have stopped ‘scratching at doors’ like a cat! Everyone has my telephone number and knows my desires. I am easy to find. But I am very relaxed and do not feel no sourness”.
And why not reform his mythical duo with his sidekick Patrice Carmouze? “A lot of people came to see us to say: ‘Seeing you together makes us feel like we’re 20!’ Seeing our two faces reminded them of Coucou c’est nous or Ciel mon mardi. professional meeting like the one I had with Patrice, there is only one in a lifetime! We had such a bond… Our shows were schoolboys but we still learned things. we were able to have fun!”
The two former presenters of TF1 mentioned the possibility of reforming their partnership. “So we’re thinking about doing something together again called ‘Before I die’. We don’t yet know on what medium or in what form. But one thing is certain: it certainly won’t be a backward-looking old grumpy thing” .
Note that on Monday January 3, Christophe Dechavanne launched a new podcast called The small weights who gives voice to “everyday hero”, which make “exceptional things, remarkable actions and which are so useful to our society”…
