Christmas | Christmas markets not to be missed

The magic of the Holidays is spreading little by little, and several Christmas markets are appearing across Quebec. Here is a selection of the most beautiful and magical!

Quebec German Christmas Market

The unmissable German Christmas Market in Quebec returns to light up Old Quebec for its 16the editing. We go to this small, magical village to shop with some 90 exhibitors, who offer crafts, local products as well as German and European specialties. Musical performances, board game evenings: the free programming is aimed at young and old. Don’t forget to enjoy a mulled wine and admire the old toy cable car, new this year.

Until December 23 (variable time)

In Frelighsburg, the Christmas Market takes place partly in the town’s Anglican church.

The Christmas Market in the small Eastern Townships town highlights a number of local producers: market gardeners, cheesemakers, bakers, winegrowers. Artisans join the festive gathering to display jewelry, pottery, candles and other objects of art. The festivities take place in particular in the heart of a heritage church in the village. Musical entertainment and ready-to-eat meals around campfires will also be there.

St. Mark Park, in Vieux-Longueuil, is transformed into a Christmas village.

Vieux-Longueuil is adorned in its most beautiful finery for its traditional Christmas and traditions market. More than a hundred regional creators welcome us in St. Mark Park, and in the church of the same name, to bring us a warm holiday atmosphere. In addition to the traditional visit from Santa Claus, the Market is bringing back its unusual activity: sawing a log of wood to make a table centerpiece. Many gourmet delights also await visitors.

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, until December 17
