(Portland) The captain of the Canadian women’s team, Christine Sinclair, vibrated the ropes for a 55and once in the regular season in a 3-0 Portland Thorns win over the Kansas City Current in a curtain-raiser on Saturday.

Morgan Weaver and Sophia Smith also scored for the Thorns.
Sinclair, who is the all-time leading international scorer with 189, made it 2-0 in the 34thand minute. She doubled her team’s lead with a powerful left-foot shot from close range.
The 38-year-old British Columbian is one of six active NWSL players to have played every season since 2013 with the same club (joining Lauren Barnes, Jess Fishlock, Tori Huster, Alyssa Mautz and Megan Rapinoe).
His compatriot Janine Beckie wet the Thorns jersey for the first time in the regular season. The former Manchester City attacking midfielder stepped onto an NWSL pitch for the first time since July 21, 2018. She then wore the colors of Sky Blue FC.
Canadians Desiree Scott and Victoria Pickett were alternates for the Current.
