“I am not going to let go of the helm” of the European Central Bank, justified its president Christine Lagarde in “L’Evénement” on France 2.
“I would be honored to serve France again, but I am on a mission.” Christine Lagarde, the president of the European Central Bank, suggested that the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of Gabriel Attal was offered to her, but that she refused it, in the program “L’ Event” on France 2 Thursday January 11.
Questioned by Caroline Roux, Nicolas Sarkozy’s former Minister of the Economy initially recalled that “quote for each rework”. Questioned specifically on the Quai d’Orsay, Christine Lagarde remained silent for a few seconds, before invoking her “battle” led by the euro zone against inflation. “I am not going, at the moment when things become delicate, when we will have to exercise very careful judgment (…), to let go of the helm!”
