Christian Bégin stops touring his solo show

Christian Bégin is recovering better. For the first time since the brain surgery he underwent a little over two months ago, the actor gave news of his state of health.

Being now “out of danger”, Christian Bégin, who celebrated his 60th birthday on March 16, wrote a long message on his social networks to talk about his operation and the rest of his professional projects.

On March 29, following a providential scan ordered by recurring headaches, I underwent major brain surgery, he writes. The amazing CHUM neurosurgery team led by the larger than life Dr Michel W. Bojanowski removed a benign but worrying tumour, the presence of which required rapid intervention and a minimum of two months off work.”

“Everything went extremely well,” he continues. I was in the hands of an exceptional team of the highest caliber, well surrounded, well loved and now I am out of danger and I am getting back in the saddle wisely and surely.

Due to the demands of a show alone on stage, Christian Bégin announces that he has “reluctantly” taken the decision to cancel the rest of his tour for the show. The 8 deadly sins according to Christian Bégin.

“An event like this invites reflection. […] Thank you to all those who believed in me, who trusted me in this project and who bought tickets showing their support.”

A challenge he took on […] with grace, elegance and brilliance.”

Christian Bégin also resumed “with the same joy” the filming of the 16e season of Curious Begin. “A season that will see its number of episodes more than double since we will shoot 25 shows.”

“I’m fine, my head is full of projects and I’m really happy to find my way back to work and above all the people who make it so necessary, stimulating and meaningful. Again. More than ever.”

“Thank you to everyone, colleagues, comrades, friends, loved ones, family, members of the public for your immense support, your great concern and your reassuring understanding. […] I’m back. All is well summer. Piece by bit…»
