A few days ago, you met Christelle Vandeputte. She is a professional florist and based in Beaumont du Périgord. She loves running and often trains with her partner. She does not belong to any club, but takes part in races in the region and recently took part in the Paris marathon, which she finished in just over 4 hours. She dreamed of participating in the famous New York marathon. With great luck, she got a bib.
A marathon made difficult by the weather
It was hot in New York on Sunday, November 6, 2022, the day of the marathon. A meter showed 23 degrees. That made this race even more difficult. Christelle suffered quite a bit, but she knew how to be encouraged by her friends, her customers, by locals, which helped her finish and cross the finish line. Christelle happy with her medal offered to anyone who completes the marathon.

A very American atmosphere
Residents coming out to cheer on the participants, the American firefighters putting on the show, the music and the New Yorkers outside preparing the barbecue. Christelle describes the very American atmosphere of this marathon. The organization is also different from that offered in Europe.
Christelle has other projects, to participate in a race in Agen, but also to be able to do the Rome or Barcelona marathons in the near future.
