“I’m correct, if anyone was wondering. I almost got my hearing back,” he told the crowd at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Thursday, reports the British daily. The Telegraph.
Then, the comedian asked the public to lower their expectations: they would not talk about the elephant in the room. “I will talk about it one day… on Netflix”, he chained, according to The Telegraph and other media present.
“Your tickets were expensive, but not that much,” joked the comedian.
Recall that during the last Oscar ceremony, on March 27, Will Smith, unhappy with a joke about his wife, went on stage and slapped Chris Rock, who was about to present an award. Following the highly publicized incident, the Academy’s Board of Governors banned Will Smith for 10 years.
Chris Rock is currently on tour. After the United Kingdom, he will head to France before returning to North America. He will be in Toronto on June 18. No stop is planned in Montreal.
