The Public Sénat channel had planned to air this documentary in the fall of 2023, like the other two parts of the collection devoted respectively to social issues and terrorism. But the extent and duration of the current conflict arising from the pension reform have pushed the channel to advance its programming.

It is therefore Saturday, April 29 at 9 p.m. that will be broadcast President, the price to pay – facing the street, co-written by Michèle Cotta and Patrice Duhamel, and directed by Pauline Pallier. From May 68 to the “yellow vests” through the great strike of 1995, the authors tell how the eight presidents of the Fifth Republic managed the crises, with the testimonies of former heads of state, prime ministers and ministers, such as Nicolas Sarkozy, François Hollande, Édouard Balladur, Alain Juppé or Élisabeth Guigou.
Patrice Duhamel is Célyne Baÿt-Darcourt’s media guest.
