07:29 : The Taiwanese army claims “to prepare for war without seeking war”. These are the biggest maneuvers ever organized around the island by Beijing, which considers it one of its provinces.
07:30 : China has started military exercises near Taiwan, announced in response to Nancy Pelosi’s visit to the island, according to state broadcaster CCTV.
06:08 : The European Union has condemned the military maneuvers “aggressive” of China around Taiwan, in response to Nancy Pelosi’s visit. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) said “concerned” and insisted on the risk of “bad calculations” which could lead to “open conflicts”.

China is expected to begin military maneuvers this morning near the coast of Taiwan, after Nancy Pelosi’s visit to the island.
The second part of measures in favor of purchasing power will be submitted to the final vote of parliamentarians this afternoon, after an agreement in the joint committee (CMP) yesterday evening. The first part was definitively adopted on Wednesday.
