In China, holidays turn into a nightmare: nearly 80,000 tourists find themselves stranded on the paradise island of Hainanin the south of the country, after the discovery of several hundred cases of Covid. China continues to apply its policy of “zero-covid“.

With its tropical climate and white sand beaches, the city of sanyaon the island of Hainan (China) was the perfect vacation spot in the country. Since Sunday August 7, all flights have been cancelled. With less than 500 cases of Covid-19, no one can leave the island. Thousands of tourists are stranded at the airport. Everyone must stay at home. Locals and tourists must do PCR tests every day. More than 80,000 tourists are on extended and enforced vacations. “After living through quarantine in Shanghai, we wanted to take some sun vacation in Sanya to get away from it all and then now we are in quarantine in sunny Sanya until Saturday.
