Children get caught up in the games

To encourage the para athletes, many children are present in the stands. A family from the Basque Country is taking advantage of the fervour of the Games for their last week of vacation. “We saw wheelchair rugby, taekwondo”says a little girl. Corentin, 8 years old, and his big brother Camille, 13 years old, make souvenirs for their friends. “I’ll tell them I went to the Paralympics in Paris”he says proudly.

At Roland-Garros, a family tries wheelchair tennis. “It allows me to understand people who have this disability,” explains a young boy. If the young public vibrated in front of the television for the Olympic Games, everyone is impatient to come and encourage the champions in the stands. 250,000 places have been allocated to school groups.
