The Agricultural Show is currently being held in Paris, from February 26 to Sunday March 6, 2022. The largest farm in France attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year: in 2020, there were more than 500,000. The opportunity for children to see animals up close.
At 4 years old, Tom, accompanied by his parents, strolls for the first time in the aisles of the Salon de l’agriculture, which is held in Paris. Originally from Oise, the family took the train early in the morning of March 2 to enjoy a day that promises to be full of discovery. Tom is delighted, because here, everything is provided for children. Thus, an educational farm has been set up: we learn the right gestures to respect the animals.
Little Chloé appreciates the fact of discovering agriculture in a playful way and outside of school, by being able to approach the animals and pet them. Tom’s mother affirms that this direct contact with the trades of the farm allows a much more solid apprenticeship: “Even if it had been explained to him through a book or videos, it is not as concrete in the end”.
