For several years, he has been fighting for different causes and this does not always please everyone. But for the past few days, it seems that Hugo Clément has made hunting his main target. Proof of this is with his tweet of October 17, in which he relayed an article from Dauphine which told of a near-miss tragedy when a child saw a hunter’s bullet ricochet inches from his head.
“Drama narrowly avoided. He is playing with his 3-year-old son. A hunter’s ball ends up right next to them, in the child’s cabin”, denounced the journalist. Stunned and still shocked by the scene, the father of the family expressed his anger to our colleagues: “What do you want us to tell him after that? That’s what worries me the most, deep down. How can we explain to our son that in his house, on his terrace, we risk his life? “he lamented at first before pushing a rant: “We were close to death this Sunday and I want to say it loud and clear so that the authorities react. Are the hunting regulations well respected?”.
Children forced into shelter
But this Wednesday, October 19, Hugo Clément was pushing a new rant against hunting. This time, the journalist denounced shots from hunters heard near a school forcing them to take shelter in an emergency. Many parents of students were outraged and did not hesitate to express their anger to our colleagues at Mail Picard. “Tuesday, in the middle of morning recreation, the children were frightened by untimely rifle fire which came from the fields which border the school. The hunters were only a few meters away, clearly visible from the children just behind the fence, and they did not ‘did not consider it useful to break their rifle’lamented a first mother.
