Kelce caught a 7-yard touchdown pass with 1:16 left in the fourth quarter to force overtime. He then ended the debate with his major in overtime.

On a first down, Kelce caught Mahomes’ pass at the 30-line and dodged two tackles to reach the end zone, where he was then hugged by his teammates.

Mahomes completed 31 of his 47 passes for a gain of 410 yards, a personal high this season. The Chiefs quarterback threw three touchdown passes and one interception. Kelce caught two touchdowns, 10 assists and gained 191 yards, his career high.

Justin Herbert gave the Chargers a 28-21 lead with 2:19 left from an eight-yard touchdown pass to Keenan Allen.

The Chargers’ loss came after a disturbing injury to tight end Donald Parham. The 24-year-old appeared to have passed out when his head hit the ground hard in the first quarter. He was taken out on a stretcher and taken to hospital. The team said his condition is stable.

Tyreek Hill caught 12 passes for a 148-yard gain and a major for the Chiefs. In light of their victory, the Missouri team is 10-4 and remains at the top of the Western Section of the American Association. Hill’s one-yard touchdown and his catch on the two-point conversion took both teams to 21 points in the fourth quarter. That touchdown was preceded by a 69-yard catch from Kelce.

The Chiefs played the same thing last year at the Chargers by winning in overtime on the lawn at Hollywood Park.

Herbert threw two touchdown passes and scored one by running, but the Chargers (8-6) shot each other in the foot when they failed to accumulate points in three appearances in the pay zone. Herbert completed 22 of his 38 passes, for a gain of 236 yards. One of his passes was intercepted.
