Chicago Cubs | Chicago Cubs steal eight bases in a game, unseen since 1913

(Pittsburgh) For the first time in more than 110 years, the Chicago Cubs stole a mind-blowing eight bases in a game Monday.


The last time the Cubs had eight thefts was in 1913.

Center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong stole three bases against the Pirates in Pittsburgh on Monday.

He has 26 goals this season, seventh in the National League in this regard.

He was singled out once during the campaign.

Ian Happ (two), Nico Hoerner, Cody Bellinger and Seiya Suzuki were the other Cubs base stealers on Monday.

All of them stole a cushion from receiver Yasmani Grandal.

Seven steals were made with Mitch Keller on the mound; the other was a Domingo German throw.

The Cubs entered the game ranked eighth in the major leagues with 112 stolen bases this season.

The Chicago club led 12-6 after eight innings.
