Chicago Blackhawks | Brett Connolly suspended four games

(New York) Chicago Blackhawks forward Brett Connolly has been suspended for four games for his action against Dallas Stars forward Tanner Kero.



Connolly tackled Kero against the boards as the puck passed through the bay window on Saturday in the first period of a 4-3 overtime loss.

Connolly received a major obstruction penalty as well as game misconduct for the check.

Kero left the rink on a stretcher with his head immobilized. He was taken to hospital for preventive measures and for further evaluation. Stars head coach Rick Bowness mentioned after the game that his player suffered a concussion.

The suspension will cost Connolly US $ 70,000.
