She celebrated her 77th birthday last May, and for the first time she is releasing a Christmas album. The singer Cher spoke to our teams.
60 years of career and Cher still has surprises in store for us, this time, a Christmas album. This is the first time she has undertaken this exercise, unpublished tracks and a song from 1963 dear to her heart. “This Darlene Love song is very important to me because when I was 17, I sang in choirs,” said Cher in an interview with France 2. “The circle has come full circle, we were friends and we still are.”
A start to a career as a duo
Old songs and nightclub hits make up his Christmas album. Born in El Centro, California (United States) in 1946, Cher began her career with her husband Sonny Bono, before becoming artistically independent in the 1970s. Television host, actress, singer, she followed all the fashions with ease. At 77, Cher still has many projects: music, cinema, autobiography… Her career is far from over.
