(Chennai) Canada’s Gabriela Dabrowski and Brazilian playing partner Luisa Stefani won the women’s doubles title on Sunday at the Chennai Tennis Open.

Dabrowski and Stefani, the favorites in the doubles tournament, easily beat Russia’s Anna Blinkova and Georgia’s Natela Dzalamidze 6-1, 6-2 in 58 short minutes on Indian cement.
This is the second title for the Ottawa doubles this season, after winning the Masters in Madrid in May. Dabrowski, who is 30, also scored a 12e career women’s doubles title.
Blinkova and Dzalamidze defeated Montreal’s Eugénie Bouchard and Belgium’s Yanina Wickmayer in the semifinals.
Poland’s Magda Linette, seeded third in the tournament, will meet Czech Linda Fruhvirtova in the women’s singles final later on Sunday.
