The Sûreté du Québec is currently investigating the death of a two-month-old baby in Chaudière-Appalaches on October 25.
On October 18, the police from the SQ of the MRC de Lotbinière were called to go to a residence in Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur-d’Issoudun for a 2-month-old baby whose state of health required transport to a hospital center.
The child was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead a few days later, on October 25.
The Sûreté du Québec’s Service for Investigating Crimes Against the Person has taken responsibility for this file.
According to certain elements gathered so far, the investigation would tend to show that the infant could have been the victim of a criminal act. Investigators are trying to establish the exact causes and circumstances of this event.
For the moment, no arrests have been made in this case. The investigation is continuing.
