A man lost his life and three others were injured in a case that led to a large police operation Monday in Saint-Malachie, south of Quebec.

It could be a story of kidnapping and confinement in which the suspects are members of the BFM (Blood Family Mafia) street gang. This gang is involved in a conflict with Hells Angels members from the Quebec region. The victims, however, are not linked to the Hells Angels, according to our information.

Several units of the Sûreté du Québec were deployed at 5:30 a.m. on the Saint-Damien road in Saint-Malachie Monday morning, indicates Hélène Saint-Pierre, spokesperson for the SQ. This municipality is located about fifty kilometers south of Lévis.

However, the police force does not reveal the reasons leading to this vast operation. According to our sources, a man made a call for help in this area after managing to escape.

At the end of the day, the SQ confirmed that a man had died. No details about his identity or the context of his death have been shared. An autopsy will be carried out to identify the cause of death, specifies Mme Saint Pierre.
