(Saint-Georges) A woman was found dead Monday, early in the evening, in a residential swimming pool in Saint-Georges, in Chaudière-Appalaches.
The woman, a septuagenarian, may have drowned, indicates the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Emergency services were called around 7 p.m. to intervene on the 127e street, also called route 204.
Upon arrival, emergency services located the woman and took her to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The SQ specifies that, according to initial findings, there is no criminal element, but an investigation has been launched in collaboration with the coroner’s office to clarify the causes and circumstances surrounding this tragedy.
