The police officers of the MRC de Montmagny, in Chaudière-Appalaches, intervened around 12:30 a.m. for an armed attack in a residence on Route 283, explains the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) Nicolas Scholtus.
“Three hooded suspects would have burst into the residence where there were people known to police circles,” he said. “The suspects threatened people on the spot, they allegedly assaulted an 18-year-old young man with a blunt object before fleeing by stealing the ATV of one of the residents. »
The young man was transported to a hospital, but there is no fear for his life.
The police then intercepted “persons of interest” in a suspicious vehicle. “These, as well as several witnesses, will be interviewed by SQ major crime investigators,” concludes agent Scholtus.
