(Saint-Georges) A motorcyclist left the road which was fatal to him on Friday evening, in the town of Saint-Georges, which is part of the MRC of Beauce-Sartigan in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.

The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on the 192e east street. The elderly man in his forties would have lost control of his motorcycle before ending its trajectory in a ditch. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The man was alone on his motorcycle.
“The speed could have played a role in this sotie of road, it is the investigation which will confirm the causes and the exact circumstances to us”, mentioned the spokesperson of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), Béatrice Dorsainville.
No roads were closed to traffic. The investigation is continuing.
