Chaudière-Appalaches | A motorcyclist between life and death after a collision

(Saint-Malachie) A motorcyclist is seriously injured after an accident in Saint-Malachie, in Chaudière-Appalaches, on Saturday around 6:30 p.m.

A motorist traveling southbound on Henderson Road reportedly signaled her intention to turn left. The motorcyclist, who was following her, would have hit him in the back of his vehicle, explains the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), Béatrice Dorsainville.

The motorcyclist, a man in his thirties, suffered a leg injury and was taken to hospital. His condition then deteriorated, putting his life in danger.

The driver was not injured.

According to the SQ, the motorcyclist’s driving while impaired by alcohol could be the cause of the accident.

A collision police officer will investigate on Sunday morning.
