Welcome to Chateauroux! “My France, summer” ends his week of travel in the Centre-Val de Loire region, in the heart of Berry.
Johann Guerin and David Hebert make you discover the heritage of the region, in particular the domain of George Sand at Nohant-Vic or the palaces, cathedrals and castles. The Berry offers a rich and surprising heritage, with the cathedral of Bourges with its particular tower as well as its crypt.
A “made in” Berry podcast
Stephane Bonnot is the creator of the “Good Berry” podcast. He had this project idea in order to give the floor to the actors of Berry, young or old!
Apart from his trade, Stephane Bonnot brings together up to 5,000 listeners per episode. Its concept? Conversations with inspiring people. The inhabitants interviewed tell their stories, their life projects, successes or failures. On the program, sport, culture, economy!
DARC festival pulls out the track
The International Stage-Festival of Châteauroux, DARC (Dance-Art-Rhythm and culture) is an event recognized by professionals for its dance workshops. The 47th DARC will take place from August 7 to 18. During the day, dance courses are organized and in the evening, you can find concerts and entertainment throughout the city.
On the sidelines of the festival, a version “in the country” is organized in eight municipalities of the Indre department. These events allow the festival to meet those who could not see the shows in Châteauroux. Artistic director Eric Bellet explains everything to us!
From August 9 to 19, a musical program will offer concerts by Gaëtan Roussel, Calogero, Blankpass, Superbus and Christophe Maé. A final show with the participation of all DARC trainees will also take place.
Gilles Boizeau introduces us to the regional publishing house Bouinotte which celebrates its 40th anniversary. It offers a quarterly magazine on Berry and organizes literary events. La Bouinotte offers 140 books in its catalog, with novels, thrillers and comics.
