(Châteauguay) A high school in Châteauguay, Montérégie, announced early Friday that the school doors would be closed for the entire day after students and staff members were threatened late Thursday evening.

The nature of these threats was not specified in the communication that the director of the Louis-Philippe-Paré school, Stéphane Brault, sent to the parents of some 2,200 students.
The director adds that the Chateauguay Police Department has launched an investigation.
As of early Friday morning, no arrests had been reported and the investigation was continuing.
