Built on a plot of 34,000 sq.2 on the shores of Lac Saint-Louis, in Dorval, the residence is inspired by European castles. It borrows from them in particular its limestone cladding, vaulted cut stone ceilings and a five-storey turret that dominates the landscape. We also called on artisans from France, Les Compagnons du Devoir, to ensure its construction in 1999.

The set was designed by Montreal architect Karl Fisher, to whom Williamsburg and other Brooklyn neighborhoods owe some of their buildings.

The prestigious residence offers several views of the river. It has more than 20 rooms, four bedrooms, two foyers, an elevator and a heated swimming pool surrounded by columns. Its land, located at the end of a cul-de-sac and without direct neighbors, is surrounded by mature vegetation and has direct access to water. The landscaping, like the French gardens, is punctuated with statuettes and water games.

The building has, as you would expect, a chef’s kitchen. The basement reveals stone walls and floors. There is an imposing cellar, a tasting room, a secondary kitchen, a bar, a lounge and a billiard room. The municipal assessment is $3,815,000. Annual taxes of $25,411 are to be expected.

Other exceptional residences

Let’s dream a little more with five other Quebec residences posted at more than 20 million.
