Nestled on the northern plateau of Libourne and west of the Pomerol appellation, Château de Sales is nestled in the center of a green setting. It is the largest property in the appellation with just over 47 hectares of vines out of the 90 that make up the estate. Merlot dominates here with 73% of this variety planted, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Cabernet Franc. Of course, the estate is open for visits.
Guillaume Seigue: The wines of Sales are of great finesse with an assertive character leaving a fairly persistent framework of black fruits. The icing on the cake, at the castle shop, you can buy vintages dating back to the mid-90s.
Bon vivant, always ready to taste and share his most beautiful encounters in the world of wine and spirits, Guillaume is the editor of the blog www.godblessbacchus.blogspot.com but also for the site www.toutlevin.com. A glass in his left hand and a pen in his right hand, he travels throughout the year to the different properties over the terroirs and regions. Fascinated by the world of wine since his childhood, he likes above all to exchange with the “stories makers” as he likes to call the winegrowers. Mixology also takes a big place in his life with an all-consuming passion for creating cocktails.
