The incident was captured on the camera of the policeman’s police car from the Susanville Police Department in California, CNN reports.

In the images, we can see the bull charging the policeman before puncturing him in the lower back.

In a move that the matadors would have nothing to envy, the policeman managed to dodge the angry animal, leaving it to continue its course.

The agent then returns to the camera and, visibly shaken, tries to catch his breath.

These kinds of scenes involving a wild animal and a patroller, although rarely captured in video, are not uncommon in rural areas of northeastern California, according to CNN.

Police in the Susanville area frequently receive calls reporting large farm animals straying on the highway.
