The news is reassuring! Charlotte Valandrey is slowly recovering from her second heart transplant. The actress underwent a heavy ten-hour operation on June 14. They are our colleagues from Closer which reveal that the former star of Les Cordiers, judge and cop can count on her loved ones to support her in her recovery.
Since the end of May, Charlotte Valandrey had been waiting for a new transplant. The operation having been long but successful, the actress is currently going through a period of convalescence which keeps her away from social networks and all public life. Closer says that in this complicated stage, his family and friends are standing by his bedside. The magazine announces that his father Jean-Pierre and his 22-year-old daughter, Tara are ensuring his good recovery. Her old friend and agent Dominique Besnehard is also very present for the actress and comes to visit her every day. It is in particular the latter who had played a key role in the return of the actress to the cinema shortly after the publication of her book love in the blood in 2005 when she revealed that she had AIDS.
Charlotte Valandrey has had very precarious health since her teenage years, when she discovered she was HIV-positive. A disease combined with serious heart problems which have already generated two transplants. The 53-year-old actress has to live with an imposing and restrictive drug treatment. Last March, she spoke for Gala his daily life with the disease, confiding in his difficulties. “So far it hasn’t bothered me. I swallowed them all at once. For some time, I can’t stand it anymore. It’s like a rejection. It doesn’t happen anymore. I have to swallow them six times, and again with difficulty. I think it corresponds to being fed up, I can’t take it anymore” she declared. We wish him the best of recovery in this ordeal!
