Charlotte Gainsbourg audacious in visible panties facing Virginie Efira for Saint Laurent

For the Saint Laurent show at Paris Fashion Week, spring-summer 2023, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Virginie Efira followed the theme that recurs in the creations of the house’s artistic director Anthony Vaccarello: transparency! The two actresses played with translucent textures to attend this great show on September 27, 2022, in front of the Eiffel Tower.

Charlotte Gainsbourg (51) has unveiled her elegant underwear under a thick black jacket, displaying her sublime silhouette. Mom of Ben, Alice and Joe – born from her relationship with Yvan Attal -, the one we saw in a very tight dress in Zurich a few days earlier shows her love for fashion by wearing outfits as superb as they are daring .

For her part, her colleague Virginie Efira also chose a jacket, satin for her, which she superimposed on her transparent outfit made of precious embroidery on her legs. Featured in Other people’s children and of See Paris againthe tireless actress caused a sensation during the photo call. Milena Smit, Laura Harrier and Charlotte Lawrence are other guests who dared to go transparent for their looks at the Saint Laurent fashion show.

Saint Laurent or the extreme search for refinement

For the spring-summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection, the Belgian designer of the French house Anthony Vaccarello, in search of “refinement”, is fascinated by this visual which had already been exploited several times by Yves Saint Laurent. Long and often transparent dresses in jersey knit are worn as they are or are balanced with masculine pieces: wool coats with strong shoulders as well as leather bombers and trench coats.

Bottle green, ink, burgundy, mustard, caramel and the essential gold and black: the color palette is rich and sophisticated. The legs are bare, enhanced by sandals that underline the contrast with the monumental line of the coats. Pajama-inspired satin pieces bring casualness to the collection juxtaposed with a powerful effect of sculptural wooden accessories and gold jewelry. The scenography of the parade around the fountains, allowing the silhouettes to be observed from all angles, reveals the fragility of the bare backs and the power of the broad structured shoulders.
