The only musician in her family, Charlie learns the language of music from the age of 8. If it was the violin that she first discovered, it was around the age of 14 that she decided to take up the guitar and began to work on her voice. What was a hobby becomes a passion and a purpose later.
This is the loss of a loved one which pushes her to write, to put her emotions to music. As she puts it so well: “I want to make him proud, I want to make my loved ones proud of me and that’s what still motivates me today”.
Without embellishment, Charlie advances on the wooden floors that welcome him to his region: Normandy. Oscillating between pop, folk and urban poetry, Charlie travels the roads with his guitar and tries to raise awareness. Committed without being an activist, she invites the public to feel concerned by the subjects she defends.
If his compositions recall the musical universe of Raphaël, it is in French rap that she draws inspiration to develop his pen. From the streets to the big stages, passing through café terraces, campsites and restaurants, she sings in French about the things that are close to her heart: poverty, love and indifference.
