(La Malbaie) A man died from his injuries after a collision in La Malbaie, in the Capitale-Nationale region, Wednesday afternoon.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) reports that it was a little after noon that police officers from the MRC Charlevoix station and the SQ received a call reporting a face-to-face collision involving two vehicles, which had occurred on Dassylva road, in La Malbaie.
At the scene of the accident, emergency services treated three injured people, who were evacuated to a hospital. Unfortunately, one of the three injured, a man in his seventies, succumbed to his injuries once at the hospital. He was the passenger in one of the vehicles involved.
According to information collected by the police, a van veered from its lane and collided with a vehicle traveling in the other lane and in which two people were traveling.
Investigators believe fatigue may have played a role in this collision.
